Icelandic singer Auður signs with Imagem Music Germany

Sep 26, 2016

The deal for the Icelandic singer/songwriter was spearheaded by Imagem Music Germany’s Managing Director, Jens-Markus Wegener, who commented that AUÐUR’s performance was one of the strongest he saw at the MUSEXPO 2016 showcases. Additionally, the artist secured representation with leading French booking agency Junzi Arts (Woodkid, Puggy, Talisco, Thomas Azier) as a result of its founder Clotaire Buche seeing the show in Los Angeles. AUÐUR is managed by Iceland’s Kari Sturluson.

Sutrluson commented, “When looking for showcase slots for new artists MUSEXPO always comes first to mind. Reason being is that it’s selective towards talent and pays a lot of attention in connecting the dots between them and the industry in a compact and efficient way, driven by sheer enthusiasm for music. We were lucky to have AUÐUR at MUSEXPO LA in April where we met Jens from IMAGEM which now has resulted in us joining forces on the publishing side for the world. We also now have Clotaire Buche and his team at Junzi Arts representing AUÐUR on the booking fronts in Europe as a result of MUSEXPO LA – big kudos from Reykjavik, Iceland to the entire MUSEXPO team!”

Imagem Music Germany’s Managing Director, Jens-Markus Wegener said, “When I saw AUÐUR live on stage at MUSEXPO I was immediately blown away by their magic. Reduced yet unbelievably funky electronics paired with an enormous soulful voice - I could literally see AUÐUR taking over the control of the hearts and minds of most people watching their show. AUÐUR still is a raw, unpolished diamond but hopefully we at Imagem will be able to make them shine."
