Daft Punk

Since starting out in the music industry, Guy Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter have continually wowed audiences with fresh, innovative music. The two met in the late 80's, and shortly after, Daft Punk was born.

In 1997, their debut album, Homework was released. The album was praised for its innovative fusion of electro, techno and house music and was widely regarded as one of the most influential dance albums of the nineties. The single, "Around The World," was a worldwide hit, reaching #1 in various charts.

In 2001, the duo released their second studio album, Discovery. The synth-pop, post-house sound was a major shift from the material on Homework, once again putting them on the map as masters of musical reinvention. Their third studio album, Human After All, followed in 2005 and went on to receive a Grammy nomination for Best Electronic/Dance album in 2006. 2006/2007 saw the release of their film Electroma and their live album, Alive 2007. A year later, the duo scooped up two Grammy awards for "Harder, Better, Faster Stronger" (Best Dance Recording) and Alive 2007 (Best Electronic Dance Album). 2010 saw Daft Punk returning to the limelight with the release of the sci-fi film, Tron: Legacy.

After and eight year album hiatus, 2013 has seen Daft Punk return to the limelight with their hugely anticipated fourth studio album, Random Access Memories (released on 20th May 2013). The critically acclaimed album, which features collaborations with Panda Bear, Julian Casablancas, Todd Edwards, DJ Falcon, Chilly Gonzales, Giorgio Moroder, Nile Rodgers, Paul Williams, and Pharrell Williams, debuted at #1 across the globe and sold over a million copies in its first week. Daft Punk are back and bigger than ever!
